About Rachel:
Rachel Madeleine Turgoose is a music educator, performer, and entrepreneur based in Austin, Texas. She is the owner and CEO of RMT Music, a music education company that partners with families and school districts to provide high quality private lessons, masterclasses, and supplemental music education services both in person and online. In addition to running RMT Music, Rachel serves as a Jazz Voice Professor at Texas State University.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, Rachel has worked with students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced collegiate performers. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Music in Jazz Performance from Texas State University, specializing in Jazz Voice and Woodwinds.
As a performer, Rachel has appeared internationally as both a vocalist and instrumentalist, performing throughout the United States and abroad. Her background spans jazz, commercial music, musical theatre, and contemporary styles, bringing a versatile and real world approach to both teaching and performance.
Through her work with RMT Music, Rachel is passionate about expanding access to high quality music education and helping students build confidence, artistry, and lifelong musicianship.
