Students will play final concert alongside professional musicians in their section!

We are thrilled to bring back our annual RMT Music Wind Ensemble Camp! This music camp offers middle school and high school students the unique opportunity to play alongside professional musicians within their section for rehearsal and final concert. Build strong friendships by working together to create a beautiful musical program, which will be presented to the public on the final day. Students will strengthen their musicianship, build confidence through successful performances, enhance the knowledge of their instrument, prepare for the upcoming performance year, and more!

High School students will have the opportunity to become a section leader for the Middle School camp. Leaders will rehearse and perform alongside the middle school students and model good musicianship, help students with fundamentals, and strengthen their leadership skills in a fun-filled, musical environment. Leaders will only be with the students for no more than 2 days of rehearsals, including the concert. Leaders will be chosen 2 weeks before camp and will receive a discount on the High School camp.

WHEN: June 3-7, 2024
Middle School: 9am-Noon
High School: 1pm-4:30pm
WHERE: San Marcos High School Band Hall, San Marcos, Texas.
AGE: Open to all Middle School and High School age students, including graduating 2024 seniors. *Middle school students must have at least one year of in-school band experience*
